Following a successful 2019 with the release of their EP, Retrograde, the Los Angeles trio have readied the release of their debut album, Brand New Vision. Point North is made up of vocalist Jon Lundin, guitarist Andy Hershey, and rounded out by drummer Sage Weeber. The trio’s debut album was entirely self-produced by Lundin, who has produced many artists at his own studio, Pastel Recording Company. Brand New Vision is the album the band have always strived to create as musicians.

Words Like Wildfire – Classic Tragedy

Toronto, Ontario’s rising post-hardcore band Words Like Wildfire have released their brand new effort, Classic Tragedy. The band formed in 2017 by vocalist Ian Archer, bassist and vocalist A.J. Chmilar, guitarist Cody Wood, and drummer Avery Mocha. Words Like Wildfire has garnered much success the past three years, including opening slots for such acts as Secrets, Picturesque, Silent Planet, and even playing the Toronto date on the 2018 edition of the Vans Warped Tour. Unlike their previous collection of music on their 2017 debut EP, Quarter Life Crisis, the band shift themselves towards a more defined mix of pop punk and post-hardcore with these five brand new tunes they’ve worked very hard on getting out to listeners. Classic Tragedy was recorded at Room 21 Sound in Toronto. It was produced, engineered, and mixed by Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Rarity) and finally mastered by the legendary mastering engineer Ted Jensen, who has worked on more than a few hundred of albums over his extensive career.

Gossip World Tour: Sleeping With Sirens, Set It Off, & The Gospel Youth

I’d love to be starting these reviews with how nice the weather was outside, but still the frigid Winnipeg weather on February 1st didn’t keep the fans home from stepping out and getting a little cold to fill up the Burton Cummings Theatre to see Sleeping With Sirens, Set It Off, and The Gospel Youth perform live. I’m not sure of what circumstance, but the band Southpaw was absent from the Canadian dates of the tour. Sleeping With Sirens are currently on tour with Set It Off and The Gospel Youth, promoting their latest album, “Gossip”.
